REMINDER: Friday 6 January Outage : Infrastructure improvement and service availability
IT Services are in the process of a major upgrade to improve both network infrastructure and the stability of IT services at Loughborough University.
As part of the i2012 Pod Data Centre project, our IT partners Cisco will be assisting in configuring our services to reduce future downtime.
Impact
Not At Risk: Printing, E-mail, Filestore
At Risk: All other services should be considered at risk, including: Agresso, iTrent, LUPIN, Gladstone, Deaf Alerter, Staff development, Security radio (Trbonet), some Imago, FM, and alumni systems.
When
Friday 6th of January, All Day (7:00am - 5:30pm)
The decision to place these services At Risk has been taken after careful consideration and discussion with Senior Loughborough University Management. IT Services realises the inconvenience the changes may cause, but we would like to emphasise the longer term benefits from a stable infrastructure, including reducing future interruptions.
